
Building Ethical Communicators: ISOMES Faculty Lead with ASCI Insights
In a significant step toward fostering ethical awareness in media and advertising, faculty members of the International School of Media and Entertainment Studies (ISOMES) – Dr. Iram Rizvi and Apoorva Nawaz – participated in the Mega Faculty Development Programme (FDP) on Empowering Ethical Advertising. This impactful event was jointly organized by the Indian Institute of Mass Communication (IIMC) and the ASCI Academy, under the Ministry of Information’s initiative.
The inaugural session was graced by an esteemed panel of dignitaries:
- Shri C. Senthil Rajan, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Information & Broadcasting (MIB)
- Dr. Anupama Bhatnagar, Vice Chancellor, IIMC
- Ms. Manisha Kapoor, CEO and Secretary General, ASCI
- Mr. Chandan Mukherji, Director & Senior VP – Strategy, Marketing & Communication, Nestlé
- Dr. Nimish Rustagi, Registrar, IIMC
Hosted at the Bal Gangadhar Tilak Mini Auditorium at IIMC, the FDP was conducted by Ms. Saheli Sinha, Director – Operations, ASCI. She guided the educators through the evolving landscape of ethical advertising, laying strong emphasis on fairness, transparency, and self-regulation.

Faculty members also engaged in vibrant networking and knowledge exchange sessions with their peers from other institutions, sharing strategies to make classrooms more ethically driven and regulatory-aware.
