ISOMES organizes one of its own kind of national level media fest MANTHAN every year in the month of March on its campus in Film City, NOIDA. This festival encompasses diverse media related activities in competitive and non competitive categories.
MANTHAN proves a great learning experience for budding media professionals who get an opportunity of meeting their counterparts from different media schools and showcase their talent with aggression and spirit in all media related activities.
The inaugural ceremony was followed by an intense debate

in which all the invited guest participated enthusiastically. The guests also answered some of the questions from the audience in which students from various media colleges of Delhi and NCR region participated.
Post lunch, students tried their hands in creative writing and AD Mad show which was followed by an interacting session with filmmaker and actor Tigmanshu Dhulia on

in which students had an interesting time asking very interesting questions on the life and works of the filmmaker.
MANTHAN dazzles with galaxy of media personalities, Editors, Senior Journalists, Anchors, Film Producers and Directors and Film and TV Actors. Students get an opportunity to interact with them in open sessions. Such interactions help them in their career and provide complete exposure to the Media World.
The fest is an effort to provide a professional platform to the media students by organising events like Media Seminars and Workshops, Anchor and RJ Hunt, PTC competition, Media Quiz and News and Creative Scriptwriting competions. These events were judged and awarded by renowned media personalities.
The Film Festival is also an exposure for the students who are interested in Filmmaking and Television Production and Direction.
The inquisitive participants at this extravaganza not only quench their thirst in the brainstorming sessions with the leaders of news industry, but they also get the rare opportunity of rubbing their shoulders with the glittering stars of Bollywood.
So far MANTHAN has been graced by celebrities such as Arvind Kejriwal, Raj Babbar, Subhash Ghai, Prasoon Joshi, Arnab Goswami, Uday Shankar, Sambit Patra to name a few.
Post lunch the audience had an very interesting interacting with “magician of words”, lyricist, screenwriter and ad guru Mr. Prasoon Joshi who enthralled the audience with poetry, songs and punchlines. Mr. Joshi gave very interesting nuances on poetry and advertising. Mr. Joshi also gave away the prizes for the AD MAD SHOW and CREATIVE WRITING.
Students also get to showcase their talent in events like Fashion Show, Nukkad Natak, Group Dance, Anchor Hunt and Ad Mad show.
The finality of the evening was duo and group dance competition. Though the Weather God tried to play a spoilsport, but the zest and zeal of the students were undeterred and despite heavy rains and thundershower the competition went on full swing and the day ended with fulll enthusiasm.
The last day started with the street play competition where students participated with full enthusiasm wherein students portrayed the present social scenario.
After the street play competition, it was time for business. Corporates and Brand Building honchos Anurradha Prasad, CMD, BAG NETWORK 24, Ms. Ravina Raj Kohli, Sr. Advisor, BAG NETWORK 24, Mr. Anurag Batra, Chairman and Editor-in-chief, Exchange for Media, Mr. Hareshendra Verdhan, Head – Public Relation and Communication, IFFCO and Mr. Amit Kumar, Former COO, BAG NETWORK 24 gave the students the mantra of brand building and how to understand the business of television.
Post lunch the fest began with Media quiz and prize distribution ceremony. Ms. Anurradha Prasad, CMD BAGNETWORK 24 gave away the prizes for RJ Hunt, Anchor Hunt, Skit competition, Antakshari, Writing to visuals.
The fest finally ended with its much awaited event – THE FASHION SHOW where students showcased their fashion talent and had an exciting ramp and catwalk.
The icing on the cake of the event was the auspicious presence of Mr. Rajeev Shukla, Union Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs, who graced the occasion and motivated the participants. He also gave away the prizes for the dance competitions and the fashion show.
The event was concluded with the valedictory function by Mr. Ajit Anjum, Managing Editor, NEWS 24 where he thanked all the faculty members of ISOMES and the students for making Manthan a grand success.
